
Pagasa forecasts heavy rain in Pangasinan, other areas on Sunday.
MANILA, Philippines — Heavy rainfall is forecast in Pangasinan and other areas on Sunday afternoon due to the southwest monsoon, or habagat.

In a weather advisory issued at 5 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the following areas will experience 50 to 100 millimeters (mm) of rain from Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon:
- Pangasinan
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Occidental Mindoro
- Antique
- Iloilo
The following areas are also expected to experience heavy rainfall from Monday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon

Pagasa warned that flooding is possible in the above-mentioned areas, especially in areas that are urbanized, low-lying or near rivers while highly susceptible areas are prone to landslides.

Pagasa also noted that Severe Tropical Storm Crising (international name: Wipha), still being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility, was located 935 kilometers west of Extreme Northern Luzon as of 3 p.m. It was packing a maximum wind speed of 110 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 150 kph. /mr
